The Baronville Estate
Le Carrousel de Baronville
In 1882, the Marquis de Pomereu d'Aligre decided to build a model farm and stables for his numerous horses, one kilometer away from the château. At the time, these installations were famous and won several awards for their modernity in terms of technics and hygiene, both for the animals and humans working on the estate.
In 2012, after extensive refurbishments, his great great-grandson Count Aymeric de Rougé opened the Carrousel as events, wedding and seminar center.

Forestry & Agriculture
The Baronville Estate is one of the largest private historical estates in the Paris Area. Around the Château, one can see the Carrousel, the farm, several stables and cottages. The estate is based on two main traditional activities: forestry and agriculture.
We are managing both in the most sustainable way, as we have been here for generations and would ideally want the generations to come to enjoy and admire it like we did, if not better.
Both forestry and agriculture are managed according the principles of organic farming.
